How Extrusion Is Made
THIS STUFF IS LIKE MOLTEN LAVA!
We take a trip out to the ol' extruder for a check on our dies. And we made it out alive! Enjoy.
The aluminum billets lining up to get cut per order.
The billets making their way into the furnace to heat up to 600 degrees.
Once the billets pass through the furnace they become like M&M's. Soft on the inside and a hard shell on the outside.
We found our dies! Here is Scott showing our two different 3" profiles.
The dies get heated up then transferred to the extruder. Some very hot stuff!
The extruder all loaded up. Time to make magic!
And out it comes. Just like Play-Doh.
Once the extrusions have cooled off they are packed for shipping.
Thanks for watching!
Please let us know if we can help fulfill any extrusion orders for silicone edge graphics.
